Start with what the platform already does. If a native workflow can express the trigger, conditions and actions cleanly, configuring that is often the right scope. Custom code earns its place when information must cross systems, business rules need a separate service, or the team needs an operating screen the CRM does not provide. We verify the available permissions, events and endpoints before promising a connection. A reusable integration foundation can shorten the build, but your field mapping, access rules and exception handling still need implementation.
A useful acceptance test follows the entire record: inquiry received, owner assigned, booking created, reminder considered, response handled and follow-up stopped when appropriate. It also tests the less convenient paths. What happens if the same event arrives twice, credentials expire, an appointment changes or the contact opts out? We agree those outcomes and their owners before launch. This is a test plan for your implementation, not a promise that every existing integration already handles every possible failure.
An integration does not require an autonomous AI agent. If AI is useful for drafting, qualification or answering questions, define its approved knowledge, allowed actions, escalation conditions and review requirements separately. Your team should know when it is reading a draft, when an action is waiting for approval and when a message has actually been sent. We do not treat connecting an API key as authorization to contact every record in a CRM.
The implementation proposal separates native CRM configuration, custom code, hosting, third-party services and ongoing support. Your GoHighLevel subscription and usage charges are separate from our implementation work. We document who maintains each connection and how to pause or recover it.
