What changed
In June 2026, Pax8, a major IT distributor, announced that managed service providers must now become 'Managed Intelligence Providers.' Their research shows that AI-managed services for small businesses are growing 59% per year, far outpacing the 13% growth of traditional managed services. The CEO of Pax8 said AI is now the tool that lets small businesses compete with much larger companies.
This is not just talk. IT Brief UK and TechRadar Pro report that most small business owners now expect to need AI to stay competitive. 62% say they will not keep up within three years without it, and 84% would trust an external adviser to guide their AI rollout. The demand is there, but most traditional providers are not ready to deliver real, agent-driven automation.
Inforcer points out that while the market is moving fast, most MSPs do not have the skills to build true AI agents. Only 9% of AI-using businesses actually use agents today, according to McKinsey. This is the gap we fill: real automation, built for the way your business actually runs.
