What changed
A new survey from Convert.com shows every agency now uses AI in some form. But only 9% have gone far enough to call it a real advantage. Most are using AI tools, but not changing how they deliver value or get paid. Raising prices has not come from AI alone. Instead, agencies that moved up did it by taking on higher-value work, not by just adding AI to what they already did.
Meanwhile, Deloitte and Gartner both report that the industry is moving away from flat subscriptions and seat-based pricing. They expect a shift to models that charge based on usage or outcomes. By 2030, Gartner sees at least 40% of enterprise SaaS spend moving to these hybrid models. On the ground, 83% of AI-native SaaS companies already use usage-based pricing. For brick-and-mortar operators, this means the way you buy and sell software and services is changing fast.
